 Duncan MacLeod, BA (Hons) TESOL cert. | AES Director / English Teacher
Duncan is the founder and director of Alpine English School and the Go English public school placement program. At AES he teaches both young learner and adult ESL classes. He specializes in general and business English as well as TOEFL and TOEIC preparation courses. Duncan also works closely with the local school board to coordinate the placement of international children in Kimberley's public schools. Duncan has been working in the ESL industry since 1994 as a teacher, consultant and teacher trainer. He has worked in Japan, China, Korea, Chile, the United States, Australia and Canada. Duncan has a BA (Hons) from the University of Calgary and a TESOL certificate. He is a member of both BC TEAL and TESL Canada.

 Crystal MacLeod, BA (English) B.Ed, TEYL cert. | Coordinator of Instruction / English Teacher
Crystal is a certified teacher who has taught English in the Japanese and Canadian public schools systems to students of all ages. She has also taught English at a private language school in Santiago, Chile. She currently teaches ESL to international students for School District No. 5 in nearby Cranbrook, BC during the school year and at Alpine English School during the summer. She has Bachelor's degrees in English (University of Western Ontario) and Education (Queen's University) as well as a specialized TEYL (Teaching English to Young Learners) certificate from Coventry House International. She has additional training in the Riggs-WRTR method of teaching children to read and write. Crystal is a member of the British Columbia College of Teachers.

 Julie Ann Davies, BA TESOL cert. | Recreation Coordinator / English Teacher
Julie Ann was born and raised in Kimberley and is raising her own family here. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree (University of British Columbia) and a TESOL certificate to go along with extensive experience working with international students and tourists as a mountain guide. Julie Ann loves the outdoors. She is responsible for planning and leading most of our outdoor activities including moutain biking, canoeing, hiking and river rafting. Julie Ann's experience in outdoor recreation allows her to adapt and design activities to fit the needs of individual students and families seeking to learn English and enjoy the Rocky Mountains!

 Mark Davies, BPE TESOL cert. | Ski Coordinator / English Teacher
Born and raised in Kimberley, Mark is your ticket to an amazing ski-focused English learning experience! As Ski Coordinator, Mark is plans and/or leads most of AES's snow-related programs. Mark has a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (University of Calgary) and a TESOL certificate. He is also a C.S.I.A. Level 3 ski instructor with 19 years of experience in Canada and overseas. He holds additional qualifications in snowboard instruction, lifeguarding and first aid. Mark is the former coordinator of summer programs at Canada Olympic Park where he organized and supervised camps and special events.
