What you need to know about AES administration

We have done our best to make Alpine English School (AES) registration process as quick and easy as possible. If you have any questions about any aspect of the process, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Terms and Conditions of Enrolment
  1. One lesson equals 50 minutes of classroom time
  2. Prices subject to change with two weeks notice
  3. Textbooks/materials fees extra
  4. All programs subject to a one-time, non-refundable registration processing fee of $55 (from within Canada) or $125 (from overseas)
  5. Maximum eight (8) students per class
  6. International students must provide proof of medical insurance
  7. All courses and programs are run subject to minimum enrolment requirements
Payment Policy

AES program fees are payable to ALPINE ENGLISH and can be paid in any of the following ways:
  1. Cash (Canadian or US dollars only)
  2. Certified cheque or money order (Canadian only)
  3. Bank wire transfer
  4. Credit card (via PayPal only)
Note: Cash payments are only accepted in person. Please do not send us cash through the mail.

Refund Policy

  1. Written notice is required (email, fax, regular mail or hand delivery) for all withdrawals if a refund is to be requested.
  2. Registration fees ($55 from within Canada, $125 from overseas) are non-refundable regardless of notice.
  3. Homestay placement ($200) and accommodation assistance ($50) processing fees are non-refundable regardless of notice.
  4. Full tuition and homestay refunds will be issued to students who: 1) withdraw 30 days or more prior to the start of their classes or; 2) have their visa applications rejected (visa rejection letter required).
  5. A partial refund of 85% of tuition and homestay fees will be granted to students withdrawing fewer than 30 days or more prior to the start of their classes.
  6. Once classes have begun, partial tuition refunds will be granted as a percentage of total courses taken to a maximum of 50% of total tuition if written notice is received prior to 1/2 of the courses being completed. No refunds will be issued after that.
  7. Once classes have begun, homestay fees will be refunded by the unused week. Partially completed weeks will not be refunded.
Postponement and Program Changes

  1. Students may postpone their start date if written notice is provided 30 days or more prior to the start of their classes provided the same course option is available at a later date. Postponement requests received fewer than 30 days prior to the start of classes are subject to a $175 fee.
  2. Students may downgrade their course selection (for example, from full-time to part-time) if written notice is received 30 days or more prior to the start date of their classes. Downgrade requests received fewer than 30 days prior to the start of classes will be charged 25% of the tuition difference.
Note:  All programs at Alpine English School are subject to minimum enrolment requirements and may be postponed or cancelled at the discretion of AES. In the event that a program is postponed or cancelled by AES the student is entitled to a full tuition refund

Important:  Registration, homestay and accommodation processing fees are non-refundable regardless of circumstance.

Holiday Schedule - 2005

No classes: July 1, August 1, September 5, October 10, November 11 (statutory holidays are not deducted from course tuition)

Christmas Break: December 24, 2005 - January 3, 2006 (Students do not pay for this week in their program packages)
